Scripture records that He reveals the deep and secret things. He knows what lurks in the shadows.

There are those who walk in pretence. By day they sound religious, speak holy words, and wear the garment of righteousness.

They sit in church, lift holy hands, and quote Scriptures. But when night falls, they transform. Familiar spirits take control. They journey in dreams. They gather at evil meetings.

They return before dawn and resume their pretense. They play double-standard.

The enemy loves such vessels. They give him access to families, to homes, to the faithful. They sign covenants in the night while men sleep.

They attend gatherings not seen by physical eyes and do the bidding of their masters or mistress. They receive deliveries from dark powers. They eat the bread of sorrow at evil tables and drink from dark cups. By morning, they smile and ask, “How was your night?”

But the Lord is not asleep. He neither sleeps nor slumbers.

Scripture speaks of those who practice evil things. Micah 3 speaks of prophets who divine for money yet lean on the Lord saying, “Is not the Lord among us?” They cover their evil with religion. They build Zion with blood and Jerusalem with iniquity.

Ezekiel 13 exposes false prophetesses who hunt souls. They sew pillows to arms and make handkerchiefs to trap souls. They proclaim peace when there is no peace. They cover their works with religious garments while their hands are full of darkness.

Isaiah 29 describes a people who draw near with their mouths but remove their hearts far from God. They honor Him with lips while their spirits serve other masters.

The Lord Jesus spoke of wolves in sheep’s clothing. They come in meek appearance but inwardly are ravening wolves and vampires. By day they look like sheep. By night they devour.

These are they who refuse to repent year after year. They continue in their dark, pretentious ways, operating in darkness and thinking nobody sees them. They attend church by day and coven by night. They lift holy hands in the morning and shed blood at midnight. They speak in tongues in public and cast spells in secret. He will by no means pardon the unrepentant at the end of time. Grace intercedes at the throne of grace, but there comes a time when there shall be no more grace.

The Lord knows. He sees every transaction in the spirit realm. He records covenants made against the faithful in the night. He watches rituals performed while no one is aware. He knows the one who travels in dreams. He sees which church-goer sheds blood at midnight. Nothing is hidden from His sight.

Job 24 describes those who rebel against the light. They do not know its ways nor abide in its paths. The murderer rises with the light to kill the poor and needy. In the night he becomes a thief. In the dark they dig through houses which they marked for themselves in the daytime. They abhor the light. They do not comprehend its ways.

Proverbs 4 warns: “The way of the wicked is as darkness.” They know not at what they stumble. They love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil.

The wrath of God is being revealed against all ungodliness and unrighteousness. Those who practice such things are storing up wrath for themselves. The same God who extends mercy also executes judgment. The soul that sinneth shall die. There is no hiding place.

There is still time for repentance. The mercy of God calls even now.
